Second Assignment: Due January 31st
- Finish last week’s work by Tuesday. Send me a link to the file so I can download it and review it by Thursday.
- Create a 1 page pdf of a movie of your choice. It needs to have buttons with rollover states as well as a quicktime movie trailer within it.
You might be wondering how you’re going to get the quicktime .mov downloaded. Not a problem, BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THIS AT SCHOOL. Here’s the tutorial:
- Go to quicktime.com.
- Pick a movie and go to it’s page.
- In the right corner is a little triangle pointing down. When you click it, there should be an option to download the file as a Quicktime movie. If so, select that and download. If not, move to the next step.

- Since there’s no option to download, we are going to have to search thru the code to find the link to the file.
- View the source of the page.

- Find the .mov file line of code.

- When you find it, copy the whole address for the .mov file from “http:// to .mov”.

- Paste that in your browser’s address field. When that address loads you should see the quicktime file. Click on the arrow. Download the file as a Quicktime.

After that just carry on as we did in class. With all the mistakes I had and errors I made hopefully you have been steered clear of those pitfalls. Make sure you use InDesign CS3 and export the PDF as version 8.
The comment box below and the contact form is for you if you have questions.
